Accounting Clerk

Perform routine clerical accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standards and serve as a resource for the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams.

Responsibilities:

• Review all accounts payables invoices for signature approvals and appropriate backup documentation. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
• Match and code vendor invoices in ERP system and attach appropriate backup.
• Assist with weekly check runs including the selection of invoices for payments, ACH file preparation, issuing checks through a banking pay system and preparing international wire transfers.
• Process all cash applications and credit card receipts in ERP system.
• Ensure that all necessary documents have been provided by customers and the sales department to convert Quotes to Sales Orders.
• Send invoices to customers via email and/or submit through customer supplier portals.
• Correspond with customers / vendors / employees / governmental agencies and respond to inquiries.
• Perform general office duties such as digital filing and handling routine correspondence.
• Assist with year-end audit request.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Natural proficiency with math
• Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and accounting principles
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and aptitude for learning new systems.
• Local travel to other facilities in Lawrenceville, GA are expected.

Education:

• Associate's Degree in Accounting- minimum required
