The production manager assists in developing and executing the production plan by making use of information from job orders, available inventory and regular meetings with production and sales management. The manager is responsible for staging material, tooling and programs for our vacuum forming and CNC machines. Additionally, they will ensure maximum utilization of machinery by cross-training set-up and operation on all equipment and supplementing staff with temps as necessary. This position must be strong in preventative maintenance on all production equipment. They will also oversee and assist with Shipping & Receiving to ensure finished products are shipped as requested.
What does the job entail?
- Coordinate production plans with the company’s production and sales management.
- Carry out production schedules to ensure that deliveries are made in a timely manner.
- Stage materials, tooling, and programs before the commencement of production.
- Perform preventative maintenance of production equipment to avoid shut down.
- Implement job training for staff in order to attain production objectives.
- Handle production issues in a way that it doesn’t hinder production and delivery.
What skills do I need?

- Possess good interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate project coordination and organizational abilities.
- Have good time management abilities.
- Be willing to work as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask and display flexibility while carrying out duties.
Anything else?
- Prior experience with work order systems and personal productivity software.
- Strong Excel experience
- A minimum of 3 years Plant Manager experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prefer Bachelor's degree.
