Job Summary:

This position opens accounts, fields and resolves customer service issues, research account problems, resolves complaints, and corrects records.


Essential Functions:

  • Assists customers with routine account-related requests such as:
    • Funds Transfers
    • Automatic funds transfers
    • Stop Payments
    • Inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges
    • Inquiries about ATM and Debit Card usage and limits
    • Inquiries about check and savings accounts transactions
    • Inquiries about funds availability
    • Online Banking Support
  • Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available financial services, such as savings and checking accounts, Individual Retirement Account, Certificates of Deposit, savings bonds, and securities. Deliver a high level of service through identifying relationship opportunities; matching appropriate products to customer needs; performing account maintenance inquiries and migrating customers to alternative banking solutions.
  • Orders checks and/or ATM/debit cards as authorized.
  • Answers customer questions and investigates and corrects errors, following customer and establishment records.
  • Possess expert knowledge on a wide array of products and services.
  • Refer customers to people who specialize with the type of problem or query they present.
  • Accountable for ensuring a delightful customer experience.
  • Complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains new and closed account reports as assigned.
  • Must demonstrate a business professional image and demeanor
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
  • Fill in for tellers as needed.
  • Assists with loan applications/documents.

Additional Functions:

  • Ability to work various hours/locations as assigned to meet the needs of the business (open/close)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements (Education, Experience):

  • High School Diploma
  • Prior banking experience preferred
  • Complete additional training (on/off site), as assigned
  • Customer Service Representative Certificate (ABA)

Physical Requirements:

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment.
