Sheetrock Technician

We are seeking a skilled sheetrock technician to join our team. The sheetrock technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing sheetrock and drywall surfaces in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in construction settings, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate proficiency in sheetrock installation techniques.

Responsibilities:

1. Install and hang sheetrock panels on walls and ceilings according to blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
2. Measure, cut, and trim sheetrock panels to fit around doors, windows and other openings accurately.
3. Apply tape, joint compound, and other sealing agents to seams and joints between sheetrock panels for a smooth finish.
4. Repair damaged or cracked sheetrock by patching, sanding, and refinishing surfaces to match existing textures.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a sheetrock technician or a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and installing sheetrock panels with precision.
3. Knowledge of different types of sheetrock materials, tools and equipment used in the installation.
4. Strong understanding of sheetrock finishing techniques, including taping, mudding and sanding.
5. High School diploma or equivalent.
