BAS Technician, Project Manager Assistant,

Arizona Control Specialists, Inc. (AZCS) is a Building Systems Integrator specializing in HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, Power Management, and technology integrations.

As a BAS Technician you will work closely with the Project Manager (PM) and installation team to support various aspects of projects including but not limited to installation, startup, testing and commissioning.

Position requires advanced knowledge of low voltage controls and systems. Must be capable of system startup, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of complex control systems. 

Duties:

·         Assisting with Project planning and execution of project installation

·         Calculating and placing material orders

·         Coordination and oversight of installation team members

·         Control system installation

·         Use control software for System start up, testing, and commissioning

·         Troubleshooting and repair

·         Maintaining accurate records of project activities and documenting.

·         Communicating with Project Managers, Installation Team members, Site Supervisors, Associated building trades, Site Superintendents, etc.

·         Meeting with stakeholders to discuss project details and deliverables.

·         Coordinating tasks and managing project deliverables.

·         Learning to execute tasks at a project manager level under supervision.

·         Conducting field tests, diagnosing equipment failures, and making necessary repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Attention to detail

·         Understanding construction schedules and meeting deadlines

·         Exceptional time management skills.

·         Exceptional communication skills.

·         Advanced understanding of low voltage control systems and/or programmable logic controls.

·         Extensive experience in troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing low voltage electrical systems and circuits and electronics.

·         Proficiency in Office Suite, especially Word and Excel; ability to learn new programs as needed.

·         Previous experience in BASIC computer programming

·         HVAC experience is a plus.

·         Ability to work off ladders or lifts for extended periods and in various weather conditions.

·         Valid Arizona Driver License with a clean driving record.

·         Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

·          

Desired Qualifications to Advance:

·         Associate degree from an accredited college or university (technical or bachelor degree preferred) or equal education and experience.

·         Minimum one year of experience in a managerial, foreman or lead capacity

·         Extensive understanding of EMS, medium voltage switchgear, starters, and variable frequency drives.

·         In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and controls interface.
