Market of Choice - Specialty Cheese Department Manager

Market of Choice in West Linn is now hiring for a Specialty Cheese Department Manager. This position starts at $20.75/hour up to $25.75/hour, depending on experience.

DESCRIPTION

DUTIES

As a Cheese Steward Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

• Supervise, schedule, train & evaluate employees
• Manage purchasing, merchandising & expense control
• Assisting customers in selection and recommendations
• Keeping current and continually expanding knowledge of cheese
• Conduct events
• Organizing, stocking and facing of the department
• Monthly & Quarterly inventory
• Checking in deliveries/ logging of all invoices daily
• Enforce company policy & procedures
• General cleaning and maintenance of sales area

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates will have an extensive knowledge of a wide variety of hand crafted and artisan cheeses from around the world, superior customer service skills and a strong sales ability including suggestive selling techniques.

Applicants should have open availability and be willing to work evenings and weekends.
