Contract Physical Therapist โ€“ Pediatric Health Choice (PPEC)

Pediatric Health Choice is a leading Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center dedicated to improving the lives of medically fragile and developmentally delayed children. We provide a safe, supportive environment where children receive skilled nursing care, therapies, and educationโ€”offering families peace of mind and children the opportunity to thrive.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Contract Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team.


Location: Pediatric Health Choice, Ocala, FL
Employment Type: Contract | Flexible Schedule
Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | Daytime Hours Only
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate | W-9 Contractor


Position Overview

As a Contract Physical Therapist at Pediatric Health Choice, you will work hands-on with children to assess, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy services that promote mobility, function, and developmental progress. Youโ€™ll collaborate with nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and families to support each childโ€™s holistic growth and health.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical therapy evaluations for pediatric patients with complex medical and developmental needs

  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans to support gross motor development and functional mobility

  • Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate therapy sessions

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with PPEC and state regulations

  • Educate and support families regarding therapeutic goals, home exercise programs, and mobility strategies

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care planning and progress reviews

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, clinical standards, and ethical practices


Qualifications

  • Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist

  • Prefer 1 year of pediatric experience (PPEC, early intervention, or medically fragile population experience preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Current CPR certification and ability to pass a Level II background screening
