Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist

Our client, a construction contracting company located in North Atlanta, is looking for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to join their wonderful team. This longstanding family-owned company has a great reputation in their industry and creates a work environment where everyone feels valued and appreciated.

This position is worked onsite at the client’s North Atlanta office.

The key role assists the company with their daily job costing and enables them to track their financial success, maintain strong vendor relationships, and support the billing functions of the company. Come use your skills to make a big impact on a growing and successful organization!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain purchase orders to ensure proper job costing and GL coding
• Track and reconcile open POs
• Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements
• Maintain vendor relationships
• Invoice customers upon job completion and assist with progress billings as needed
• Process new customer credit applications
• Generate and distribute customer statements
• Assist with collections as needed
• Cross-train to support the team in other areas as needed

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 2 years AP, AR and/or bookkeeping experience required
• Previous experience in a construction or other job-costing environment is a big plus
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Previous experience with a construction software program is a big plus
• Solid work ethic and the ability to work independently to problem-solve
• Detailed, organized, and professional in attitude
• Ability to interact with fellow employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner
• Focused on accuracy and meeting deadlines with work

COMPENSATION: a base salary of $55,000 - $60,000, plus health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, basic life insurance, long-term disability, a flexible spending account, and telehealth options
