Responsibilities:

» Facilitate the development of turnaround and capital work scopes throughout the refinery through data gathering by utilizing technical resources, inspections, engineering, reliability, OED, etc.

» Ensure most qualified and most cost effective service providers (specialty contractors) are procured for execution of work assigned.

» Develop work breakdown structures to facilitate cost analysis, cost tracking and re-forecasting of turnaround and capital projects budget

» Analyze and supply logic to planned work steps for critical path analysis of projects to maximize schedule and minimize manpower/cost

» Assist in the development of yearly turnaround and capital construction spending budget

» Supervise/train/coach other planners/foreman to ensure successful projects.

» Interface with purchasing department on procurement of goods and services to ensure quality contractors and timely delivery of materials needed

» Develop and assemble management documents for communication of safety, project status relative to cost, schedule compliance and manpower utilization

Qualifications:

» Bachelor's degree in Construction Management + 8 years of experience as a Planner or equivalent -OR- High School Diploma or equivalent + 10 years of experience in craft or industrial maintenance in a refining environment (PREFERRED)

» Bachelor's degree in Construction Management + 2 years of experience as a Planner or equivalent -OR- High School Diploma or equivalent + 6 years of experience in craft or industrial maintenance in a refining environment (MINIMUM)

» Knowledge of planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project)

» Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning software.

» Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

» Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

» Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

» Valid Driver’s License required

» Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility

» The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard & the Transportation Security Administration. Candidates selected for employment must meet eligibility criteria to obtain a TWIC card. Schedule:

» 9/80 Schedule; every other Friday off
