HR Business Consultant

Summary
The HR Business Consultant performs various HR duties, including advanced, specialized, and administrative responsibilities for external clients using various HRIS/HCM systems.
Essential Functions

- Act as an external consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues for clients
- Advise management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities
- Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures for clients
- Ensure clients comply with established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation
- Assist in planning and organizing the strategic HR direction for clients
- Answer non-routine requests for information on policy interpretation for clients
- Assist with developing, coordinating, and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow for clients
- Develop methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects for clients
- Conduct periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures for clients
- Work on special projects
- Lead special and cross-functional project teams
- Present training sessions for clients
- Attends meetings, conferences, and seminars as needed/requested

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Little to no travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional-level experience in human resources.
Preferred Education and Experience
5+ years of professional-level experience in human resources.
3+ years of experience with Paylocity Software.
