Senior Engineer - Substation Design

Manpower is seeking a Senior Engineer - Substation Design to deliver comprehensive engineering design services for substation facilities. This position involves ensuring timely construction within budget, providing leadership, and directing team efforts in design and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop reliable and economically feasible substation physical and control designs with minimal supervision.
• Ensure project quality control through on-site inspections and coordination with construction teams.
• Maintain effective coordination and communication with other departments to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Provide expert guidance to solve non-standard substation design issues across departments and districts.
• Monitor and control project expenditures to meet budget commitments.
• Produce accurate cost estimates for budgeting and cash flow management.
• Contribute to the development and updates of detailed project schedules in the management system.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, codes, and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited school.
• At least 5 years of experience as a practicing engineer, with a requirement for a PE license; 8+ years required without PE licensure.
• Demonstrated expertise in relay protection, wiring & control, and comprehensive knowledge of substation engineering phases.
• Strong skills in analysis, multitasking, leadership, project management, and decision-making.
• Effective communication abilities with company personnel, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Technical Proficiencies:

• Proficient with PCs, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Work Environment:

• This role is primarily based in an office environment but includes some field supervision work.
