Job Description

General Profile

Entry-level position with limited prior training or relevant work experience. Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks. Work is prescribed and completed with little autonomy. Works with either close supervision or under clearly defined procedures. 

Key Responsibilities

o   Performs Tier I procedures/preventative maintenance and wet-cleans, seeking assistance when needed. 

o   Assists senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.

o   Disassembles, cleans and rebuilds kits as part of kit management quality.

o   Learns and applies basic diagnostic techniques and the use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.

o   Able to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.

o   Strives to perform established BKM’s.  Follows all IP guidelines.

o   Develops the ability to represent Applied Materials to the customer.  Uses good customer service skills at all times while maintaining a professional demeanor.  Displays respect for the customer by maintaining an orderly work area.

o   Complies with all safety procedures and consistently demonstrates safety as a value.

o   Majority of job duties performed in a cleanroom environment

o   Electrical, Mechanical, or Vacuum Theory skills is a plus

o   Understands how the assigned duties integrate with others in the team

o   Develops responsibility for customer satisfaction within work area

o   Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems; has limited opportunity to exercise discretion

o   Impacts the accuracy of own work; receives close supervision; duties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detail

 

Education

Position requires an Associate’s degree in an Engineering field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 1 - 2 Years
