Pharmacy Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and proficient Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations. Experience with Pioneer and Parata systems is highly desirable. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize modern technology to process prescriptions, manage inventory, and maintain records.
• Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems such as Pioneer and Parata.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Perform medication reconciliation and assist with medication therapy management as needed.
• Participate in continuous training and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
• Contribute to the overall success of the pharmacy team by actively engaging in team meetings and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is a plus.
• Proven experience working as a pharmacy technician in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in modern technology and experience with pharmacy automation systems, particularly Pioneer and Parata.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing and data entry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.
