Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and proficient Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations. Experience with Pioneer and Parata systems is highly desirable. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize modern technology to process prescriptions, manage inventory, and maintain records.
- Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems such as Pioneer and Parata.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform medication reconciliation and assist with medication therapy management as needed.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
- Contribute to the overall success of the pharmacy team by actively engaging in team meetings and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is a plus.
- Proven experience working as a pharmacy technician in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in modern technology and experience with pharmacy automation systems, particularly Pioneer and Parata.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing and data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and customer service.
