Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled part time Facility Manager Handyman to join our team at the PAL of Parsippany-Troy Hills! In this role, you will perform light commercial maintenance work that may include minor electrical and plumbing repairs, small repairs and maintenance to the building, floors, or ceilings, assembly of new equipment, scheduling of inspections and ordering of custodial and maintenance supplies.

We are looking for a hard-working team player who is dedicated to performing quality work in all that you do. Past experience as a maintenance worker is highly preferred and a positive attitude is a must!

Responsibilities:

Schedule and perform routine inspections of building systems.
Perform routine building repair and maintenance.
Perform daily checks of building interior, exterior and grounds and correct any issues identified.
Repair equipment or structures, using tools such as hammers, lifts, saws, drills, wrenches, or other tools and equipment.
Assist the PAL team in improving the functionality of the building.
Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.
Liaison with the Township of Parsippany's building and fire prevention departments to ensure that the organization remains in code.
Interact with youth center participants in a professional and friendly manner

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a handyman / general maintenance
Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry
Organization skills to maintain an inventory and obtain quotes from vendors for repair work
Ability to lift 40+ lbs. on a consistent basis
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Flexibility to accept changes to job responsibilities over time.
