Summer Child Care Team Member

Do you love working with kids? Come join Edina Public Schools’ Community Education Department as a Recreation Leader for the summer. We are looking for individuals with a passion for childcare to assist our Program Supervisors in the planning and implementation of the summer school age program. No formal training is required. 

At Edina Public Schools, we pride ourselves on being a learning community where all participate and all belong. A successful candidate will be a team player, have a strong desire to learn, and be passionate about equal access to learning for all children. Some of the job responsibilities include:

• Create and run extra-curricular activities for students in kindergarten through 5th grade, including art, music, games, and more  
• Supervise lunch, recess, attendance and dismissal
• Help with setup of the classroom and activities 

Pay & Schedule:

•  June 3 - August 9 -- three month position
• Competitive pay, starting at $16/hour up to $22/hour based on experience
• Part time opportunities available - 4 hours/day - Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Friday
• Flexible hours between 7 am - 6 pm Monday through Friday. We can work with you on your specific scheduling needs!

Qualifications:

• No formal childcare experience is required - we are looking for individuals who have a passion for helping people and enjoy working with kids 
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check
