Seasonal Supervisor, J Baseball/Softball

Reporting to the Manager, Sports and Recreation, this position helps supervise on game days for J Baseball/Softball, a fall youth program. This position is active from April through October and works approximately 10-20 hours/week.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in managing J Baseball Game Days by observing operations, responding to changing needs/conditions, providing hands-on assistance and communicating with coaches and parents
• Supervise baseball umpires
• Supervise and assist concession workers
• Assist in overseeing maintenance of the J’s three baseball fields and equipment, which may include hands-on field preparation

• 1+ years of experience in the recreation field
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support evening and weekend programming
• Works well independently and with co-workers
• Excellent oral communications skills
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Experience supervising others is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to lift 80 pounds and stand/walk for up to 8 hours outdoors in various weather conditions
