A/V Interpretation Technician - Freelance (TX)

You would work with a dynamic team of project managers, technical managers, recruiters, and global strategic partners, to develop and deliver world-class multilingual solutions during live events.

Job Responsibilities:

• Traveling to on-site events in your local region to support engagements ranging from 10 to 10,000 attendees. Travel/mileage is compensated for as well as lodging and per diem when applicable.
• Technically executing onsite events involving virtual-hybrid and in-person meetings.
• Providing technical and operational support during live events for interpreters and clients.
• Assuring compliance with all technical requirements during events.
• Identifying new products and solutions to be utilized.
• Engaging with the client to ensure expectations and priorities for technical delivery are implemented with our highest standards.
• Excellent client-facing and internal team communication skills.
• Experience with live audio mixing and able to coordinate an audio feed from an AV team for the interpretation system.
• Experience with audio/video systems both virtual and actual.
• Experience with Zoom, Teams, and other virtual meeting platforms.
• Experience with Windows and Mac OS.
• Some familiarity with SI technologies including FM, IR, Williams, Listen, Bosch, Brahler, Televic, and Taiden. Building of interpretation booths and setting complete SI systems with interpreter consoles broadcasting to FM and IR transmitters.
• Strong organizational skills including attention to detail.
• Hands-on knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Strategic thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
