Job Description

GMZ Engineering needs an on-site Safety Officer. The SO position requires someone to formulate daily Toolbox Talks, Safety Walks, and Jobsite investigations to review tasks, hazards, and mitigations. They must also input daily entries into the safety log, and constantly maintain all permits. They demonstrate team leadership by holding staff Orientation and Safety Training audits and must enforce all type of compliance.

They MUST carry the following certifications:

CHST - Construction Health & Safety Technician

Preferred, but not mandatory certifications:

CPR - AED - First Aid
COVID -19 Training
OSHA 30
OSHA 5109 - Standards for the Construction Industry
OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety & Health Standards for the Construction Industry

Additional Certifications:

OSHA 3115 - Fall Protection
STSC - Safety Trained Supervisor Construction
TWIC, Fit Tested
