Refurb Technician

Easy Ice continues to grow and seeks bright, highly motivated Refurb Technician to join our team in the Charleston market. This technician is responsible for the refurbishment and repair activities on ice machines. In this position, you will work closely with the Refurb Lead and the Technical Services team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate levels of equipment are ready for quick turnaround and shipping
• Ensure refurb and repair work is completed to Easy Ice standards and is properly documented
• Work alongside the Service Delivery team and Logistics team to ensure best workflow
• Accomplish daily refurb tasks in a timely and efficient manner with an emphasis on quality
• Ensure warehouse meets standards required by law
• Complete refurb work orders per asset including pictures of finished work
• Responsible for sourcing equipment and making sure adequate supplies are available
• Responsible for identifying equipment to scrap
• Maintain cleanliness of refurb area
• Perform Refurbs to SOPs

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience in HVAC/R field, desired
• Excellent organizational skills
• Reliable, Energetic, and Problem Solver
• Ability to think on one’s feet and learn rapidly without a great deal of supervision
• Flexible with performance, and time-sensitive expectations
• Must be disciplined, self-motivated, and able to meet team goals
• Able to work as a team member as well as independently
• Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong command of company’s policies and procedures
• Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience
• A desire to continually increase your knowledge of the industries we serve; and, products, services and processes our company can produce
• The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use ladders; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, parts and tools; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Stands for extended periods of time (8+ hours per day)
• While the noise level in the work environment is usually somewhat quiet, the worker may be subject to elevated noise levels
