Job Description

2nd Shift:

Hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Assemble all aspects of a machine or multi-system from engineering released drawings

  • Fabricate machine components as required

  • Verifies conformity of parts to BOM and prints

  • Perform machine parts and assembly modifications as required, interfacing with engineering department and/or Project Manager when changes of a critical nature are required

  • Record changes/ redlines to machine parts and assemblies on engineering drawings

  • Participate in verification debug and testing of machine as necessary

  • Install and service machines at customer’s site when required (Install Team)

  • Assist with training customer’s personnel on machine operations and maintenance

  • Follow OSHA requirements for machine safety devices and guards

  • Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly fashion

  • Responsible for keeping work area clean

  • Comply with all safety procedures and report any unsafe or potential risks to management

  • Recognize areas of improvement and work with the management team on new developments and innovative ideas to improve profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations

  • Follows work instructions and maintains checklists where required

  • Adequately document processes, procedures and testing using structured formats. Where format do not currently exist, provide a recommended format for review

  • Adhere to applicable laws and regulations

YOU HAVE:
Ability to design integration equipment including robot cells, OEM machines, etc.
Electrical and mechanical aptitude to understand the automation processes.
Experience with Fanuc robot programming a must have
PLC programming experience with Rockwell/RS Logix a must have
Configure and commission industrial networks for Robots
Create IO lists, cable schedules etc. for robotic implementations
Interface directly with customers on site and take a leadership role on projects
Must be a US Citizen or have the ability to travel to the Canada for project consultations.
EDUCATION:
A post-secondary engineering or engineering technology degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in electrical, mechanical, systems or computer engineering.
Applicants with extensive experience in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
EXPERIENCE:
Very strong robot programming and problem-solving skills
Graduates to senior level experience welcomed.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Hands-on control, electrical or robotic experience highly desired
A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Experience with Ford programming standards a must have
Rate of pay is based on experience and ability to meet the "must have" qualifications.
