Job Summary

Our Director of Operations will oversee our day-to-day operations and ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity across all departments. The Director of Operations will play a key role in implementing strategies to streamline processes, optimize resources, and enhance overall performance.


Duties & Functions

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess operational procedures and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, including supervisors and frontline staff, to ensure clarity of roles, accountability, and effective communication.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands and budgetary constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products or services meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other external partners to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration and coordination across departments, such as production, logistics, sales, and customer service, to optimize workflows and achieve shared objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management are based on department initiatives and priorities.


Requirements:


Qualifications & Standards

  • Ability to travel 85% of the time. Visiting locations in assigned division, counterparts in other divisions, as well as the Corporate office in Murfreesboro, TN.
  • Must reside in the state of South Carolina.
  • Strong integrity and work ethic are critical.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in operations management or a similar role, preferably in Construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing operational improvements and driving results.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in business acumen.· Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet set deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to seek out information and resolve issues
  • Comfortable working autonomously but within a team· Ability to use shared workflow technology (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Paylocity)
