The Market Leader โ€“ Agricultural Division will play a key role in expanding the agricultural lending presence of First Bank & Trust Company in and around Mount Airy, North Carolina including but not limited to the counties of Surry, Stokes, Wilkes, Yadkin, and Forsyth.

This position will focus on growing and managing a high-quality agricultural loan portfolio while developing strong relationships within the local agricultural community.

The Market Leader will serve as a local ambassador for the Bank, identifying opportunities to expand market share and deliver tailored financial solutions to agricultural producers and agribusinesses. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of agricultural finance.

Working closely with Agricultural Division management, this position will help drive the Bankโ€™s strategic growth initiatives within the market. The Market Leader will also play a leadership role within the Agricultural Lending Division and may have the opportunity to help build and lead a team as the Bankโ€™s presence in the region continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source, develop, and maintain agricultural banking relationships in northwestern North Carolina including but not limited to the counties of Surry, Stokes, Wilkes, Yadkin, and Forsyth.
  • Assists with implementing the bankโ€™s business plan and keeping management informed of internal resources, market conditions, and competitive pressures.
  • Identify lending opportunities, structure competitive loan packages, and guide borrowers through the application process.
  • Manage and grow your loan portfolio with a focus on retention and cross-selling.
  • Partner with credit, deposit, and operation co-workers to deliver smooth, efficient service to clients.
  • Identify and explore business development opportunities within the community.
  • Represent the bank in the community to develop business and promote The First Bank and Trust products and services.
