BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! is NYC’s longest-running, free performance festival, and a beloved summer tradition featuring approximately 25 varied large-scale performances and attracting upwards of 200,000 people each summer to the Prospect Park Bandshell.



About the Hospitality Coordinator BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival Role: 


BRIC seeks a Seasonal Hospitality Coordinator who will work as part of the production team to create an excellent artist experience, prepare artist hospitality, and contribute to smooth backstage operations.



What You’ll Do in the Role:


The Hospitality Coordinator will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their manager, the Stage Manager & Producer:

Responsibilities include:


Seasonal:

  • Coordinate all hospitality services with Producer, Stage Manager, and Associate Producer (Artist Services Team)

Weekly

  • Complete weekly shopping runs for hospitality supplies

Daily:

  • Prepare artist hospitality and dinner orders
  • Assist Company Manager with dressing room prep/cleanliness and other backstage needs
  • Maintain and manage inventory of goods
  • Run errands as assigned by Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager


You’ll Bring these Skills and Strengths to the Role:

    • Experience & Qualifications:
    • 1 year experience as a Hospitality Coordinator in a music/performance venue or theater environment (or equivalent.) 
    • Strong verbal, organizational and teamwork skills, and a professional presence required. 
      • Person must be 21+ 
      • Bilingual (Spanish language) a plus
    • Communication & Relationship Building: A highly skilled communicator who is a team player and can support the achievement of team goals.
    • Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within the Performing Arts and or Hospitality function.   



    Other Things to Know:

    • Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $17.00.
    • Status and location: This is a seasonal role based at the Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park. 
    • Performance and General schedule:
      • May 1 - June 6 (prep + on site training)
      • June 7 - August 24 (Show days approx. 12pm - midnight, exact dates TBD)
      • August 25 - September 5 (post season wrap up)
