Assistant Director of Recovery Services
Job Opening:
Recovery Resource Council’s Recovery Services Department is seeking to hire one, full-time Assistant Director of Recovery Services. Applicants must be LPC’s, LMFT’s, or LCSW’s. Preference will be given to those applicants who possess dual licensure (LCDC) and/or are currently EMDR trained/certified. Must possess skills in providing trauma-informed care to adults with substance use disorders and/or other behavioral health care needs. Applicants must have experience and desire to facilitate one-on-one psychotherapy sessions while also being open to being trained in the “Seeking Safety” curriculum and facilitating outpatient treatment groups. Must be proficient in both in-person and virtual (telehealth) service delivery. Must have at least two years of experience providing direct supervision to staff and must demonstrate a history of strong leadership skills. Experience with grant writing, grant reporting, quality management, staff meeting facilitation, and teambuilding is desired. On the job training required. Must be vaccinated for COVID and uphold all agency and pandemic-specific safety criteria. Work environment may by a hybrid of both home officing and on-site campus officing.
Duties and responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Recovery Services provides direct clinical oversight and supervision for programs within the Recovery Services Department – including outpatient treatment and peer support programs. Provides direct services through one-on-one counseling and treatment group facilitation. Provides leadership to the Recovery Services team and direct support to the Director of Recovery Services while ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, care, treatment, and services to all individuals. Assumes responsibility of the day-to-day functioning of the department in the absence of Director. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Joint Commission Accreditation Requirements and Texas HHSC treatment standards. Supervises staff who provide direct services in outpatient treatment (including Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Licensed Chemical Dependency Interns, psychotherapists). Must maintain required internal and contract-required trainings, certifications, and leadership development assignments.
