Video Producer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a passionate videographer with an interest in working with clients across a variety of verticals? The goal of the Video Producer is to create engaging videos that tell Abstrakt’s story and the story of our clients’ businesses. Our videos are designed to drive leads for our clients and interest prospects in a product or service, ultimately driving lead generation to help clients achieve goals. The ideal Video Producer is highly creative with excellent communication skills. He or she will have the opportunity to directly affect the success of both Abstrakt Marketing Group and our clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conceptualize and fulfill approved video design work, working with both traditional mechanical video equipment and video editing software.

• Work under a Senior Producer and Director of Video Production to create highly engaging videos for both internal and external projects.

• Assist with all aspects of video production, including concept, storyboarding, creation, shooting, writing, editing, graphics, post-production, formatting, music, and sound.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Web Designers, Graphic Designers, and Video Editors to create compelling storyboards and video stories with an emphasis on social media and digital projects.

• Provide creative input for other team members when necessary.

• Manage projects from conception to pre-production to shoot day, demonstrating excellent communication skills with all parties throughout the entirety of the project.

• Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and tell company stories through creative video production.

• Direct talent during video shoots.

• Use professional video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite) to edit video content.

• Produce or direct other related creative projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Filmmaking/Video Production or equivalent work experience.

• Must provide resume and link to content reel/portfolio.

• 3+ years professional video editing and post-production experience.

• Knowledge of current Codecs and compression solutions.

• Strong understanding of visual storytelling .

• Solid understanding of shot composition for video.

• Proficient at operating professional video cameras.

• Knowledge of still photography a plus.

• Experience keying green screen footage a plus.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite CS5 (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore, Photoshop & industry standard software (Final Cut, After Effects).

• Passion for digital experiences and storytelling.

• Extensive knowledge of professional video cameras.

• Ability to draft questions, direct, staff, and professionally light interviews and scenes for different environments.

• Proficiency shooting alone on occasion.

• Proficiency producing and editing original content to author DVDs, create promotional videos, trailers, training modules, corporate messages, etc.

• Experience in sound post-production.

• Experience with direct response, infomercial, or agency process.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under short deadlines.
