Accounts Payable Specialist

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at its Savage, Minnesota Corporate location. In this role, you will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, ensuring proper purchasing documentation is well organized, coding invoices into our system, reviewing vendor statements for completeness of invoices, resolving discrepancies prior to payment, and finalizing vendor payments. This position will involve working effectively with other members of the accounting payable group and our numerous branch location personnel. This position will report through the Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor. This position is in person, based at the Savage Corporate office.

Responsibilities:

• Matching key internal and external documentations prior to vendor payment.
• Assessment of general ledger coding of transaction for accuracy.
• Review of vendor statements for completeness of invoices, research discrepancies and reconcile vendor statements.
• Ability to work with numerous branch locations.
• Various special projects may also be assigned and assistance when introducing advanced technology initiatives.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent organizational skills, accurate and great attention to detail
