Job Description

Looking to hire multiple people for a Shipping Coordinator role for our client in Plano, TX. Hours are day shift Monday-Friday

Must have 2-4 years of experience in shipping

Must have completed high school or equivalent

Responsibilities:

Process customer orders ensuring parts and/or products are removed from inventory in the ERP system.

Create packing list and other documents required for shipping per customer order.

Verify product type and quantity per customer order and includes proper technical product documentation when required.

Ensure all parts/products are labelled properly per customer order prior to packing for shipment.

Properly packs parts/product using protective wrap, boxes, etc. to ensure product integrity during transit to customer.

Apply shipping/freight documentation to package/boxes.

Maintain shipping records; enters information into company’s ERP system and freight carriers systems as required.

Interface with freight and/or overnight carriers for daily shipment pick-up.

Communicate material or inventory concerns or other key potential issues directly with Shipping Supervisor.

Maintain material staging and material loading areas for pick up by transportation carriers.

Assist in all inventories, part picking, packing and other material related processes needed to ensure ease of product flow as required.

Follow all internal policies, processes and procedures for the Shipping department that are in support of the Company’s quality management system.

Perform all responsibilities ensuring all safety requirements are followed; reports any safety issues or injuries immediately to Supervisor

Skills:

Data Entry

High attention to detail

MS Office (Word and Excel)

Previous ERP system experience and basic computer skills

Knowledge of UPS, FEDEX, and other vendors' systems

Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds

Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other moving equipment
