Junior Estimator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Estimator. The Junior Estimator will work closely with the senior estimating team to analyze project specifications, gather necessary data, and prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about construction and looking to grow their career in estimating.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior estimators in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and material pricing using appropriate software and tools.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Maintain organized records of project estimates, bid documents, and correspondence.
• Stay informed about industry trends, materials costs, and construction methods to improve estimating accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
• Prior internship or work experience in construction estimating is a plus.
