Sanitation Technician - 1st Shift

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, and its local client, are NOW HIRING 1st shift Sanitation Tech in the Indianapolis IN, area!

Pay:$19.70 / hour

Shift:1st shift, 6AM - 6PM, Sunday to Wednesday

Location:Indianapolis IN ( PARK100)

The Sanitation Tech keeps the working areas in the production departments in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, conveyors, and other processing and manufacturing equipment using water, chemicals, and compressed air.
• Cleans screens, drains, and filters.
• Scrubs the exterior of processing tanks.
• Cleans and scrubs floors in the plant.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Operates industrial truck to transport materials within plant.
• Starts pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery and piping.
• Performs CIPs (Clean in Place) on various processing equipment.
• Operates Floor Scrubber, Baler, Foamer, Pressure Washer, and other equipment in the normal course of completing duties.
• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times
• Maintain a clean work area.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Required:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum 6 months’ work experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Sanitation experience preferred.

Skills:

• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.
• Knowledge of handling and working with sanitation chemicals such as caustic and acids.
• Have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as working in a team.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, a professional attitude, and produces accurate work product.

• Can talk or hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, push, and pull frequently.
• Can balance, stoop, kneel, squat, and crawl frequently.
• Can push, pull, and/or lift 10lbs regularly, 30lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally.
