Picture Framer

This position is for a picture framer with at least one to two years of initial experience, which includes production and customer design consultation. We are seeking creative, detailed oriented individuals, who also have great customer service, teamwork, and people skills. You would be joining a diverse group of employees who collaborate to provide the best service and support for our customers. Schedule may be split between Foursided's Lakeview or Andersonville locations, which are 3 miles apart. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Cut and join frames and fillets
• Manually cutting mats and ability to use a computerized cutter, where applicable
• Execute different types of cuts (reverse bevel, depth of cut, multiple openings, etc.)
• Cutting glass and acrylic precisely and with minimal waste
• Canvas stretching
• Mirror framing
• Sewing and other Textile mounting
• Proper mounting of works on paper
• Drymount press operation
• Custom fitting
• Art installations in store
• Lift and carry artwork and other framing materials
• Clean and organize work areas
• Manage inventory and restock supplies
• Ability to take direction, demonstrate initiative managing time efficiently, and interest in learning new things
• Other duties as assigned

• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting, including repetitive hand and wrist motion
• Requires the occasional ability to safely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Requires operation of sharp and potentially hazardous equipment and/or hand tools
• Requires ability to utilize up to 12’ ladder to hang framed art and signage
• This position occasionally requires extended working hours when necessary to accommodate customer due dates or seasonal changes in business
• Picture Framing Experience: 1 to 2 years required
