What You'll Do:


As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, well-being, and academic success of students through the provision of high-quality physical therapy services. You will collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to address the diverse needs of students and ensure equal access to educational opportunities for all.


  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities, mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings, student needs, and educational objectives.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic exercises to improve students' motor skills, balance, coordination, and functional mobility.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities and equipment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to integrate physical therapy goals and strategies into the academic curriculum and daily routines.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans, ensuring that students receive appropriate accommodations and support services.
  • Educate and empower students, families, and caregivers on techniques for promoting physical health, wellness, and independence within the school and home environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
