Position Summary:  The Janitor is responsible for maintain a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks and performing routine light facility maintenance.    

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans and maintains restrooms.
• Empties trash and recycling bins.
• Vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors.
• Washes and cleans windows and mirrors.
• Disinfects commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
• Dusts furniture and fixtures.
• Maintains cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed.
• Stocks and maintains supply rooms.
• Notifies supervisors of unsafe conditions and facility issues requiring immediate attention.
• Performs minor repairs.
• Changes air filters and cleans vents.
• Assists in maintaining outdoor grounds, including removing debris and snow from sidewalks.
• Strives to meet corporate goals.
• Cooperates with fellow employees and maintains a professional work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces.
• Knowledge of various cleaning products, when to use them, and safety guidelines for using products.
• Ability to operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
• Must be a “self-starter” with the ability to manage time and organize work with minimal direct supervision.
• Must be tactful and able to work well with others.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and/or electronic assembly is desirable.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience with corporate housekeeping.
• One year of computer experience is desirable.
