Facilities Janitor

One Part -Time Position. ย Up to19 hours per week.

Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Hiring Range: $15.35-$15.81/ hr., depending upon education and experience.

This position will remain open until filled.

Position Summaryย 

The Facility Janitorial Worker will be tasked with providing property and facility maintenance throughout Ariel Properties

Minimum Requirements

Required:ย 

  • Minimum ย age 18.
  • Minimum ย of one year of facility janitorial/cleaning experience.

Preferred:ย 

Minimum of three years successful work experience in a commercial setting.ย

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ย 

  1. Perform cleaning, dusting, and preventative disinfection/maintenance in a timely fashion to maintain facility, equipment and properties owned by Ariel Clinical Services.
  2. Requisition facility cleaning supplies, material, and equipment; monitor inventory; ย ย ย ย ย load and unload supplies as requested.
  3. Collect and dispose of waste inside and outside of building.
  4. Communicate regularly and effectively with staff and management.
  5. Follow all safety procedures.
  6. Other duties as assigned. ย ย ย ย ย 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilitiesย 

  1. Ability ย ย ย ย ย to demonstrate honesty, self-discipline and accountability for one's actions.ย 
  2. Have a base knowledge of methods and principles of general facility cleaning practices, including basic stain removal, cleaning, and janitorial processes.
  3. Ability to assess and perform cleaning, dusting, waste removal, disinfecting/maintenance work.
  4. Ability to operate a variety of hand and power equipment used during janitorial duties in a safe and effective manner.
  5. Be able to read, understand and interpret oral and written instructions.ย 
  6. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and through technology as needed.ย 
  7. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and maintain a high level of confidentiality.ย 
  8. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  9. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, complete a wide variety of tasks in a timely and accurate fashion.ย

  1. This position requires that the incumbent be capable of walking, bending, standing, sitting, stooping, stretching, and/or reaching regularly for periods up to two hours without a break.ย 
  2. This position requires that the incumbent have adequate hand and finger dexterity to properly perform the functions of the position.
  3. This position requires lifting regularly up to 50 pounds.
  4. This position requires the ability to hear, see, smell and distinguish temperature, at a level which is adequate to ensure client and staff health and safety. ย ย Adaptive devices are acceptable.
  5. Climbing may be required from time to time.

Work Environmentย 

  1. This position can and will be exposed to all environments from quiet to noisy, climate controlled to extreme outdoor heat and cold.
  2. May work in the office, facility or in outlying company facilities.ย 
  3. Exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious disease is possible, but limited.
  4. Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible, but limited.
