Job Title: Business Analyst - Business Continuity
Location: Everett, WA

Requirement:

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need to consider developing a system-wide business continuity structure capable of sustaining critical operations during periods of disruption. We do not possess a formal business continuity framework and further recognize that our 2020 Emergency Operations Plan and related emergency management framework are dated and in need of review and revision. To support our ability to effectively manage adverse events, business disruptions, and emergencies, we seek to develop an aligned business continuity program and emergency management framework that includes contemporary plans, procedures, training, drills/exercises/tests, and the application of continuous improvement to support programmatic maturity.

General requirements and desired features:

• Discovery and documentation of all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws about continuity of operations for the organization.
• Identifying and documenting key business partners and external connections necessary to conduct the client`s business for BCP development and implementation.
• Identifying and documenting confidential vital records used at the client for plan development and implementation.
• Recommending a governance and team structure to coordinate the client-wide business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
• Identifying and documenting essential business functions and processes.
• Discovery and documentation of COOP best practices for the infrastructure that the organization serves.
• Discovery and documentation of the core business processes necessary for the daily operations of the client.
• Discovery and documentation of the critical resources those identified processes require.
• Recommendations for business continuity plans at all operational levels.
• Recommendation for a dedicated software package for business continuity/COOP planning efforts, including Risk Assessment, BIA, initial plan, testing, and update.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must be local to Everett, WA to work onsite when needed.
• Must be able to work with management to acquire documentation needed to build the program out.
• Must have prior working experience in a transit or rail environment.
• Must have prior experience creating Business Continuity programs for similar companies.
