Job Description

Summary: The Local - Director of Community Engagement (DCE) is responsible for establishing and maintaining external partner relations in the assigned local city per RRM ministry standards. Under the supervision of the Lead Steward, the DCE collaborates closely with organizational leadership to identify, manage, and develop partnerships and relationships with peer organizations, government entities and officials, donors, and volunteers. The DCE champions community events and ensures the execution of responsibilities in alignment with the purpose and mission of RRM. The DCE performs support duties as needed, including advocacy, grant writing, referral intake, and management.

Essential Responsibilities will include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

Community and Civic Engagement Duties:

· Identifies, builds, and manages relationships with partner agencies, elected officials, government agencies, and community organizations.

· Liases between external contacts and organizational leadership. Serves as the initial point of contact for new relationships, partnerships, and events, occasionally processing new client referral intake.

· Seeks funding and writes grants on behalf of the Company.

· Designs and implements the organization’s event calendar for internal and external events. Facilitates staff and volunteer attendance in accordance with program management.

· Represents the Company at community events, coalitions, and committee meetings.

· Ensures successful community engagement for the assigned city by building and maintaining a partner network that complements the organization's mission, vision, and values.

· Identifies, prepares, and submits requests for funding for Grants and solicits investors, sponsors, or donations in the assigned city.

· Customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment only under general supervision.

Supervisory Duties:

· Develops and adapts training materials based on workforce skillset. Ensures training is compliant, thorough, and conducted timely in accordance with Company and legal requirements.

· Communicates and implements Company policies and procedures related to community engagement and client services per RRM ministry standards.

· Coordinates training with the Counseling Department to meet organizational objectives and ensure a positive client experience from the initial point of contact.

· Oversees the Counseling Coordinators’ management of current clientele and referral records in RRM’s EHR database.

Supervises the Hospitality Team’s documentation of current local organizations to which clients can be referred when applicable.

· Supervises the Work Programs Coordinator, holding them accountable for ensuring successful program functionality is tailored to the client’s professional needs per RRM ministry standards.

· Manages employee performance with a consistent and constructive feedback cycle that takes a collaborative approach to employee development. Administers additional training and issues progressive discipline when appropriate.
