Freelance Sewer/Seamstress/Sample Maker

Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sample Maker/Sewer with an eye for detail. You will work with our pattern designs to create samples. Our ideal candidate has the experience and skills to operate an industrial sewing machine and produce well-made samples.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to create top/professional quality samples.
• Knowledge of high-end finishing details and techniques required.
• Will work with patternmaker and follow their direction in executing Design prototype sample requests.
• Personally seeks clarification on design card issues, materials, construction and pattern related questions.
• Inspects and makes sure every operation in the sewing process is executed to koi Design standards.
• Must possess strong construction, draping , and sewing knowledge.
• Must be detail oriented and able to manage many projects simultaneously without missing a deadline.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the workmanship quality of the sample he/she produces and for the timely execution of samples.
• Interact with Patternmaker, peers and cross functional partners from Design, Product Development and Tech while executing the prototypes and final samples.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in sewing Design development samples with different types of fabrics
• Experienced in working with different raw materials
• Ability to sew to a high quality level
• Strong inter-personal skills
• Proven ability to work in teams
• Proven ability to work with deadline pressures.
• Proven ability to collaborate and work with others in a time sensitive and respectful manner

Job Type: Freelance

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift/4 days a week or 8 hour shift/5 days a week. Hours may vary.
