Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician- $25- $36 an hour

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our automotive client in New Boston, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.

Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.

Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make necessary adjustments.

Identify faulty operations, defective materials, and report issues to supervision.

Perform simple machinist duties.

Book maintenance activities in SAP-PM, monitor spare parts usage, and report shortages.

Participate in daily shift meetings to address maintenance issues.

Contribute to shift handover meetings by highlighting maintenance concerns.

Engage in continuous improvement workshops and submit ideas through the plant suggestion system.

Organizational Interfaces:

The Maintenance Technician interfaces with all departments within the plant, central functions, and the customer team.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree, equivalent from a two-year college, technical school, or 3 to 5 years of related experience

Over 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

Familiarity with ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA requirements is desirable.

NAFTA Required Job Qualifications:

Adherence to Brose Quality Policy and all relevant procedures.

Compliance with OSHA regulations and implementation of necessary safety measures.

Ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily, with accommodations if needed.

Acknowledgement and adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the Brose Jefferson Employee Handbook.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent sitting, using hands, reaching, and talking/hearing.

Regular standing and walking.

Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Moderate noise level in the work environment.
