Assistant Billing Representative

We are a small physical therapy clinic in the New Orleans area looking for a part-time billing representative to aid with ensuring timely payment of insurance claims.

We process around 100 claims per week with the vast majority of claims being submitted to Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively, stay organized, be accountable, and have a good understanding of billing practices and coding. This position can be performed either in person or remotely.

The Role

You will be responsible for submitting both electronic and paper claims on a timely basis, timely processing of ERAs and inquiring on outstanding unpaid or pending claims.

In addition, you will also be responsible for generating weekly update reports and ensuring effective communication with team members. 

Tasks:

• Bill out physical therapy claims both electronic and paper claims
