1st Shift Assembly

We are currently searching for 1st shift Production Associates for our Assembly department at our New Bremen, OH location. As an Assembler you can expect to produce corrugated or chip packaging products for our customers in coherence with promoting corporate core values and vision/mission statements. 1st shift works Monday through Friday from 5am to 1pm and 2nd shift works 1pm to 11pm Monday through Thursday.

Duties and Responsibilities:.

• Monitor box quality to the documented ISO standards..
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain activity logs.

What you need to be successful at Opus Packaging:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Work safely.

It’d be great if you also have:

• Previous experience in warehouse or packaging environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to properly use and understand the required measurement equipment including tape measures, micrometers, and other tools as required by specific jobs.

During a normal workday you can expect to:

• Bend, reach, stoop, squat and stand for 8 hours.
• Have good hand - eye coordination.
• Occasional lifting of 50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10-20 pounds.
• Understand machine set-up, machine runs, plant data entry, handwork, or assembly assignments.
