Job description

3rd Shift Packaging Supervisor

Tampa, FL (On-site)

Lonza Tampa is seeking a 3rd Packaging Supervisor to lead daily operations within the packaging department, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production. This role offers the opportunity to influence manufacturing excellence and mentor a growing team.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and direct packaging team members to ensure alignment with procedures, processes, and cGMP expectations.
  • Manage daytoday operations and maintenance of the packaging facility to uphold production efficiency.
  • Review production schedules and collaborate with the Master Scheduler to support accurate documentation and timely issue resolution.
  • Conduct and close quality event investigations, ensuring strong compliance and documentation practices.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop employees to build a skilled, engaged packaging team.
  • Deliver handson technical and cGMP training directly on the shop floor.
  • Coordinate indirect material purchases and manage overtime to meet operational needs.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (minimum 6 years, preferably with oral solid dosage).
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience supervising or directing teams.
  • Strong understanding of good manufacturing practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problemsolving, and documentation abilities.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional partners such as QA, Project Management, and operations teams.
