Packaging Mechanic
Pay Range:
$83,000โ€“$93,000 annually
Employment Type: Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced Packaging Mechanic to support packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a skilled mechanic with strong packaging equipment experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical packaging industry.

The Packaging Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving packaging equipment used in the production of powder and liquid hair care products. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, efficient production line performance, and compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and FDA requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, troubleshoot, and repair packaging equipment, including form, fill, and seal machinesย 
  • Maintain and repair filling machines, including auger filling, bottle filling, and tube filling equipmentย 
  • Perform preventive maintenance on packaging lines and related equipmentย 
  • Support line changeovers, startups, and production equipment adjustmentsย 
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtimeย 
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvementsย 
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recurring issuesย 
  • Follow SOPs, cGMPs, FDA requirements, and safety proceduresย 
  • Use shop equipment and tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasksย 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of packaging mechanic experienceย 
  • Experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical packaging industry requiredย 
  • Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, filling equipment, and production line operationsย 
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience requiredย 
  • Knowledge of shop equipment and mechanical repair practicesย 
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs preferredย 
  • Ability to perform line changeovers, startups, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshootingย 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and complianceย 

Compensation & Benefits:
