Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service role involving order entry, confirmation, and shipment in an office / manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Powerlink/AS 400 or other ERP system for order entry a plus
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective communication, listening, and phone skills are required to communicate with customers as well as with internal team members from various departments
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team is essential
  • MS Office and Outlook experience required

To ensure Medcomp provides the highest quality service and support for our customers we are looking for a Customer Service Representative. This position will handle all customer order entry, confirmation, and release for shipment as well as all customer inquiries related to our products.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Receive customer calls/emails and verify product, pricing and availability information to the customer; enter orders into Powerlink/AS 400; and check status of orders.
  • Provide order confirmations with close attention to accuracy and detail, including input of correct data in the Powerlink/AS400
  • Release customer orders for shipment following all policies and procedures
  • Determine if a call should be escalated, calls. Using in-depth SAP skills, accesses, processes & records information for managing complex transactions.
  • Resolve customer complaints, conducting research to determine an appropriate solution.
  • Follow up with customer on a timely basis to ensure effective resolution of any inquiry or customer complaint.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and guidelines to drive Customer Satisfaction and to ensure compliance with company objectives.
  • Issue order credits as needed.
  • Ensure proper prioritization of orders, providing high priority service for problem solving and other urgent calls.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Product Management Departments for resolution of out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain customer/distributor account information, pricing, and UOM as required
  • Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding their orders.
  • Work closely with necessary sales representatives and other departments on issues and concerns regarding customer complaints or concerns
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned
