Job Overview:

Total Eye Care Centers is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring seamless patient experiences during their journey at our facility. Your role will be to guide patients through their eye care treatment plans, coordinate appointments, and assist with any inquiries or concerns they may have. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be empathetic, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they enter the office

- Schedule and confirm appointments, surgeries, and procedures

- Ensure patient records are complete and accurate

- Communicate with patients about their treatment plans, pre-operative and post-operative instructions

- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and handle patient inquiries

- Confirm patient insurance coverage and verify information for billing purposes

- Maintain a clean and inviting reception area

- Assist with billing and payment processing

- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a smooth flow of patient care

- Follow up with patients after their appointments to ensure their satisfaction

- Educate patients about the different services and products offered at our facility

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent, associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service environment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

- Empathetic and patient-centered approach

- Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical record systems

- Experience with billing and insurance verification

- Ability to work flexible hours

Salary: $40,000 to $50,000
