Job description

Specialty Eye is looking for a motivated, high-energy team member to join our growing specialty practice. This is not a traditional technician role. Our Assistants are cross-trained team members who help guide the patient experience from check-in through checkout while supporting clinical care, specialty services, optical, and patient education.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, loves working with people, takes initiative, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats throughout the day. Assistants play a key role in supporting services such as Myopia Management, Dry Eye, Specialty Contact Lenses, and Vision Therapy.
We are looking for someone who is organized, adaptable, team-oriented, and confident communicating with both patients and doctors. The right person for this role sees what needs to be done and jumps in without waiting to be asked.
Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, optical, or patient care is strongly preferred But NOT REQUIRED (WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON)
Responsibilities
  • Check a patient in and review their concerns
  • Perform advanced testing and clinical workups
  • Assist with specialty services including:
    • Myopia Management
    • Dry Eye
    • Specialty Contact Lenses
    • BIN/SM/VT evaluations
  • Reinforce doctor recommendations and educate patients
  • Guide patients through eyewear and treatment options
  • Review financials and complete checkout
  • Schedule follow-ups and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
This role is built around ownership, flow, and creating a high-end patient experience.
This candidate must be willing to work at both our Kirkland and Bellevue locations based on scheduling and business needs.Required SkillsWhat We’re Looking For
