Allegheny Eye Care is located in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest, which is part of the beautiful Pennsylvania Wilds Region. Established in 1978, Allegheny Eye Care has been the leading practice and preferred provider of vision care services in the communities of Kane, Smethport, and the surrounding areas—helping individuals achieve and maintain clear vision for years to come. Combining cutting-edge technology, expert care, and a team of eight highly skilled professionals, the practice offers everything from routine exams to handling emergency visits referred from local physicians and hospitals. The practice also offers specialties in managing diabetic and glaucoma conditions.

When you join Allegheny Eye Care, you join a family where everyone works cohesively to provide the best eye care possible. You'll perform routine vision exams as well as comprehensive visits, including diabetic eye care, glaucoma care, along with foreign body removal. Monday through Thursday, the practice flow consists of 20 to 25 patients. Friday is a half day and only books up to 10 patients. As the practice currently schedules patients six months out, you'll play a critical role in supporting a rapidly-growing patient base.

Located in northwestern Pennsylvania, Kane is nestled at the southeastern tip of the Allegheny National Forest. Kane is an excellent place to live and work, offering small-town comfort, serenity, and the amenities of a big city—without the hustle and bustle. Home to fascinating sights and unique experiences, this vibrant area gives you access to a wealth of outdoor adventures, rich history, cultural experiences, shopping, dining, and more. Its four-season climate offers outdoor recreation all year long. Camping, fishing, boating, hiking, cycling, birding, and snowmobiling—are just a few activities available in the Allegheny National Forrest—also known as a recreational paradise. Its proximity to some of the East Coast's most visited destinations, such as New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., makes this beautiful area a fantastic place to practice and call home.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Optometry license in the state of Pennsylvania
