Operator - Dry Goods

Job Summary: The Dry Goods Operator position is primarily responsible for unloading/loading packaging materials and keeping Warehouses stocked at all times.

Essential Job Functions

• Repetitive stacking of packaging bundles up to 8’ high, bundles weighing up to 70 lbs. each.

• Securing packaging bundles to pallet with stretch wrap.

• Loading/unloading pallets of materials onto and off trailers.

• Ability to operate a computer and use Excel spreadsheets to track inventory, product transfers, etc.

• Repetitive lifting of empty pallets weighing from 20 to 60 lbs. from ground level to approximately 5’ high.

• Weekly inventory counts with basic math requirements.

• Perform end of month inventory one weekend day per month.

• Safely operating a pallet jack and forklift in a warehouse environment.

• Ability to identify product variations when picking product.

• Tracking and replenishing inventory at all locations.

• Coordinating inbound/outbound transfers to ensure product is available where/as needed.

• Clear courteous communication between teammates, facilities, departments, vendors, drivers etc.

• Legibly and completely filling out job related paperwork as required.

• Cleaning/organizing the interior/exterior of the Warehouse, inspecting trailers for cleanliness and mechanical defects and reporting such if applicable.

• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred with at least one year of related experience in a Warehouse, loading, unloading, picking product with a strong attention to detail.

• Working knowledge of computers, scanners/copiers, MS Excel and MS Outlook as well as any future technology advancements within the organization.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills; bi-lingual preferred.

• Ability to work well with others and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing, bending, squatting, twisting, pushing pulling, lifting and lifting overhead.

• Ability to lift 20-70lbs repetitively throughout the day.

• Ability to work in a Warehouse environment at varying temperatures.
