Job Description

The Retail Analyst provides analytical support to the operations team through the collection, coordination, analysis and presentation of data related to sales, budgets, inventory, and store transactions. Working with a variety of in-house systems, the Analyst will develop reports, review and ensure the accuracy of data, maintain data systems and support new and ongoing data projects. The Analyst will work closely with Division Managers, District Managers, Accounting teams, Marketing Analysts, Price Book and Category management teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•             Ensure that all retail sites are submitting daily paperwork, completely and accurately.

•             Identify stores with missing submittals and erroneous data and communicate with managers.

•             Responsible for variance analysis for, but not limited to, daily fuel inventory, cash overs/shorts, credit cards and lottery.

•             Reconcile accounting variances and make correcting entries as needed.

•             Review merchandise receive errors and work with the stores to make corrections as needed.

•             Analyze variety of data exception reporting such as item adjustment errors, PLU items sales, and merchandise sales.

•             Review and update any missing fuel delivery information, fuel sales data and fuel ending inventory.

•             Audit merchandise inventory transfers and ensure accuracy.

•             Offer exceptional support for the retail stores and provide guidance, training and direction for store managers as needed.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•             Convenience Store Retail Experience is highly preferred.

•             Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field is required.

•             Working knowledge of PDI - Enterprise/RMS is a plus

•             Proven advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.

•             Knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical and reconciliation skills is required.

•             Prior experience supporting operations, finance or accounting in a retail environment is strongly preferred.

•             Candidates must be detailed oriented and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
