Freeman Recovery Center is here for those struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. We now have 40+ properties where we can help up to 250 clients at one time.

Mission:

Freeman Recovery Center provides the highest level of care to individuals who are living with substance use and mental health disorders. Using evidence-based practicesand individualized, compassionate care, we equip people with the skills and resources to achieve lifelong recovery.

We strive to increase access to the entire continuum of care while raising the bar for the quality of safe, effective care. We advocate treating patients as whole people, helping them attain mental, emotional, physical and spiritual recovery in addition to life-long sobriety.

A&D Counseling Intern/A&D Counselor

• Assess each potential client’s needs, service availability, and appropriateness for FRC programs

• Perform clinical assessments on new admissions

• Provide individual and group counseling, including therapeutic interventions designed to foster each client’s recovery from substance use disorder and overall wellbeing

• Work with the Clinical Team to meet the meet each client’s needs and individual goals

• Provide the appropriate documentation for services including treatment goals, progress notes, and any other documentation needed

• Guide patients in the development of helpful skills and wrap-around recovery services and supports

• Provide case management to clients to help them access all needed resources

• Assist Program Director and Lead Interns in any operational or administrative tasks

Requirements:

Licensed or license-eligible under the requirements of the State of Tennessee (LADAC II, LADAC I, LMSW, LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

May required CPR, First Aid/AED certification

Programs:

DTX/RES (Detox & Residential)

IOP (Intensive Outpatient)

PHP (Partial Hospitalization)

LADAC Supervision:

Freeman Recovery Center has a LADAC Supervisor available and covers half of the supervision costs.
