- Location: Tiger Commissary Warehouse - 201 S 3rd Street Chickasha, OK 73018
- Schedule: 7:00am-finished; Tues & Thur (part time; 15-20 hours/week)
- Pay: $15 per hour
Responsibilities
Commissary
- Distributes commissary orders to inmates
- Coordinates with correctional staff to deliver items safely and accurately
- Communicates with distribution center to receive shipments
- Responds to requests & grievances from inmates on Commissary issues
- Receives and distributes Commissary items as scheduled
- Processes returns, receipts and inventory as needed
- Works closely with Distribution Center to resolve Commissary issues
- Establishes a professional working relationship with Company employees, jail administration and facility-provided labor that complies with Company values
- Assigns & oversees the work of all facility-provided labor
- Attends & participates in meetings as required
- Keeps Company management informed of any significant problems
- Maintains work area, equipment and any other areas of responsibilities in a clean, well-maintained appearance that complies with all federal & state standards
- Responsible for compliance & administration of all security procedures identified by the Company and Jail Administration
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
- Able to convey details or directions with volume and clarity
- Must be able to hear and receive normal conversations and information
- Must have average visual abilities necessary to read printed and screen text.
- Must have ability to stand a period of at least 3 to 4 hours at a time.
- Must have ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Must be able to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000 to 6,000 words; to read at a slow rate, able to write basic sentences and ability to communicate in standard sentences with good vocabulary.
- Drug screen
- Ability to lift 40-45 pounds
- Willing to provide consent for the jail to run a background screen
- Ability to communicate with inmates and be around inmates at the jail in order to disburse commissary orders (CO's will be present entire time also)
Preferred Requirements
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Experience working in a correctional facility
- Good organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well with others with excellent oral & written communication skills
- Dependable & able to meet time deadlines
- Good Problem Solver
