Job Description

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for the quantity and quality of all product, both food and non-food items that come to the receiving dock and is responsible for placing all product designated as “inventory” in that assigned warehouse location(s). The Warehouse Attendant will ensure that every item that hits the dock has proper documentation for the vendor as prescribed by the purchasing department. The Warehouse Attendant is responsible for the rotation of product, pulling of product, requesting restock, as well as maintaining proper par levels. The Warehouse Attendant will maintain professional latitude when dealing with vendors, drivers, and team members at all times without exception. The Warehouse Attendant will accurately document and sign all associated paperwork for system input. Any other duty as assigned/ deem necessary by management. All functions are to be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the receipt, storage, delivery and inspection of all items received at the receiving dock and stored in the warehouse.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for the inspection of incoming materials against order and specification for correctness and defects and arrange for return of defective material.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for coordinating the requisition of materials from the warehouse to user departments.
  • Responsible for transferring and transporting all materials from Warehouse to user departments.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to insure that the warehouse facilities are kept clean, safe and orderly at all times.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Attend all necessary training meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.

Qualifications/Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalency preferred.
  • Previous experience in warehousing, preferably in casino industry.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and be organized.
  • Must have the ability to get along well with co-workers and be able to work as a team.
  • Applicants must be able to maintain a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
  • Must provide authorization to allow Saracen Casino Resort to run an MVR (motor vehicle record) check on an annual basis.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming License.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate pallet jacks and various materials handling equipment.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening

  • Must be physically able to function as a Warehouse Attendant in various elements and situations.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Must have the physical ability to work with extreme weather as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., squat, stand, or bend repeatedly.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
